August Favourites

August Favourites

The month of August is almost at an end! But for a few more days at least schools are still out, children are everywhere and we are still holding onto that summer feeling. So let’s check out my favourites.

Tone & Glow

I’ve been meaning to try the Pixi range for ages and finally got my hands on the Pixi Glow Tonic. My skincare routine is very simple and I rarely use toners, but I’d heard such good things about this product that I thought I’d give it a glo…I mean go. This step is meant to be after you cleanse and before you moisturise and the idea is to brighten and soothe the skin. I’ve been using it a fair bit and my skin definitely looks dewier. But only time will really tell.

Strip those Pores

I’ve tried pore strips in the past and they’ve always been rubbish. But I saw these in a youtuber’s favourites video and snapped them up straight away (I’m so easily influenced these days). The Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips really do work and I noticed a visible difference. However I have heard that it’s not a good idea to strip your pores on a regular basis so these are great to use now and again.

Sculpt & Tease

Earlier this month I held a Greek Make-up Giveaway and included the Seventeen Cosmetics Blow Out Mascara.  It’s really lengthening and doesn’t clog the eyelashes. And it’s MUCH cheaper than a lot of other mascaras on the market that are of a similar quality. Win Win Win!

Evil Eye Jewels

Once again the girls from BlueMATI spoilt me rotten and sent me this absolutely stunning necklace from their collection. The sterling silver Artemis Necklace is so unique combining a silver cross with a beautiful teardrop gold plated enamel evil eye. Another one for my Greek Jewellery Collection!

Summer Allergies

My toddler gave me a little scare last month after suddenly coming up in hives. I wasn’t sure if it was just a heat rash or a serious reaction to his suncream (which we have always used on him) but thankfully Piriton saved the day. A doctor also told me that Piriton really is the best stuff for any kind of skin allergy / hayfever and I always make sure that I have a bottle handy. The tablets are brilliant too.
