June Favourites

June Favourites

This month London welcomed the hottest day on record since 1976 and I welcomed several new editions to my toiletry (!) collection. From suncream to a summer scent, my June favourites could be my favourite ever.

Bronze and Glow

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Palette

For that beautifully bronzed, highlighted, blushing look all you need is the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette. I actually bought this last year and it has become my staple summer make-up product. The highlighter and the blush are absolutely beautiful and you can use the darker shade as an eyeshadow if like me you’re not into contouring. Did I mention how gorgeous the packaging is?!

Stay Protected

Apivita are a Greek company who create natural, effective, holistic products for health and beauty. Products contain bee products, Greek plant extracts and organic essential oils. I usually use my Skinceuticals SPF cream for my face but I thought that I would try something different on my nose and cheeks where I can get a little redness. The Apivita Suncare Anti-Wrinkle SPF 50 Olive & 3D Pro-Algae Cream has a lovely texture and it is not too thick. My face didn’t burn but my cheeks aren’t wrinkled (yet) so I can’t say whether it stopped any future wrinkling!

Summer Scent

Jean Paul Gaultier

My absolute favourite scent for summer is the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Deodorant Spray. I have been using this for years when in Cyprus after I initially tried a sample in duty free. It’s very light and smells so fresh, feminine and clean. It’s perfect for the day and obviously you can smother yourself a bit more if you want to wear it in the evening!

Luxurious Lips

When on holiday I don’t like to take too many lipsticks so when I came across the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Lip Palette I just had to have it. The palette combines six complementing shades in a variety of matte and satin textures. The colours are really intense and the texture is very hydrating although I wouldn’t say they are particularly long-lasting. You will definitely need to re-apply after munching on a stick of souvlaki. The palette comes with a mirror and lip brush (a bit too thick for my liking) so it’s literally all you need!

Tinted Radiance

Eve Lom tinted moisturiser

I never wear tinted moisturiser but when out in Cyprus recently I suddenly found a sample of the Eve Lom Radiance Perfected Tinted Moisturier SPF 15 in my summer make-up bag. I already had a slight tan on my body but my face was still pale so I applied just a dab to my skin and my goodness the transformation was amazing. Within seconds I had a lovely glow and a completely even skin tone.

I don’t wear foundation generally and usually not at all on holiday as I prefer concealer, but this basically worked as a foundation, concealer and moisturiser all in one! Without the cakeyness! As my tan progressed and my face got darker, I still used the moisturiser on nights out and it just adapted to my colour. My sample was in the shade Bamboo 10 which seemed to work for me! A personal fave of the favourites ♥

Frizz Control

Argan oil

As some of you may have seen in my Haircare Story, I have tried so many oils and nourishing hair masks and they all pretty much do the same thing. I can’t really use oil by itself I always need to put leave-in conditioner on my hair first after washing it. However, the Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Weightless Reviving Dry Oil Spray has been a game-changer in my haircare routine. It leaves my hair so silky and smooth but it’s main attraction is that it smells ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I want to spray it on my entire body. People were asking me what perfume I was wearing and literally trying to sniff my hair. (Yes it was pretty weird). But it really is THAT GOOD.
