Following on from my dietary love affair with the olive (read all about my Oliveology products here), I have been steadily introducing more olives into my daily beauty regime. Prior to becoming a mum I used to moisturise pretty much religiously, but after the Greek prince turned up bath times became a bit of a rush job. So I was delighted to kick start my nightly pampering once again with the help of some gorgeous products from Greek beauty company

Paparuna offer a range of Greek natural cosmetics exported by Macrovita, a Greek founded natural cosmetics & natural food supplements company who combine extra virgin olive oil with many other organic substances and vitamins that are beneficial to the skin, face, body and hair.

I was kindly sent a range of products including body butters, lip balms and a hair mask.

I’ve used various body butters and oils in my time but am really trying to stay clear of anything with parabens in it. All of the Macrovita products are produced with an emphasis on the use of ingredients that are sourced from Certified Suppliers of Organic produce.

The Macrovita and Olivelia range of products are Dermatolgically tested, Mineral Oil, Vaselin and Propylene Glycol free, Genetically mutated vegetable extracts free, Paraben free, not tested on animals and are environmentally friendly. Most of the surfactants used in Macrovita shampoos are also SLES and SLS free. However, if you are looking for completely natural, totally organic products you may still want to check the list of ingredients.

In my package I received the following:

Macrovita “Natural” Body Butter with olive oil & mallow, “Refreshing” Body Butter and “Relaxing” Body Butter

All three of these body butters smelt so clean and fresh and absorbed into the skin nicely – there was none of that sticky residue left on my skin that you can sometimes find with other products. You could use the refreshing butter for your morning routine and the relaxing butter for your night-time routine! The butters are meant to nourish and soften and leave the skin soft and supple.

Macrovita Hair Nutrition Mask

With red grape and avocado, this mask made my hair smell really lovely – the texture was nice and thick (perfect for my hair type) and helps to hydrate and nourish the scalp and hair.

Olive & Argan Body Butter and Olivelia Marine Body Butter with Olive Oil and Avocado

Containing rich moisturizing, nourishing, softening and soothing ingredients that care for and revitalize the skin, leaving it soft, supple, perfectly moisturized and delicately scented, both of these body butters were lovely although I will admit that the Macrovita relaxing butter is still my favourite!

Olivelia Raspberry Lip Balm SPF 10 and Vanilla Lip Balm SPF 10

With Olive Oil,Propolis,Tea Tree Oil and Jojoba Oil Protects, these lip balms help to moisturise and nourish the lips and leave a subtle gloss. Best to use alone or over lipstick as the glossy effect won’t help lipstick stay!

Stretch Marks Cream

With active ingredients such as St John’s Wort, this cream is ideal for keeping skin moisturised to help try to prevent stretch marks. I don’t believe that old stretch marks can be particularly improved without the help of laser but moisturising will improve the appearance of the skin overall. This cream is very thick and took a while to absorb but kept the area nice and smooth!

Since receiving these products I have been moisturising every evening without fail and I can still smell the delicate scent in the morning. If you are looking to add some beautifully scented olive-based moisturisers to your beauty regime then Paparuna is the company for you.
