Nestled in the heart of London’s Bloomsbury is a shop quite like no other. A shop that transports customers back to Ancient Greece and a time where depictions of life were etched in stone rather than on screen. It’s All Greek specialises in replicas of ancient Greek and classical art, Greek jewellery, and Greek gift ideas. And here at The Greek Wives Club, we ladies love a good jewel!
Founded by classics teacher Elinor Wynne Lloyd in 2000, the shop has gone from strength to strength and has previously supplied products to TV series’ and blockbuster movies including the likes of Troy, Alexander and Clash of the Titans.
At the tender age of 12, Elinor declared her undying love for Greece on a trip with her parents and that passion intensified through her years studying the classics and beyond. An Oxford graduate, Elinor taught at Queen’s Gate School in London for 16 years then independently in her own teaching business ‘Locus Classicus’ whilst setting up It’s All Greek. She has been running It’s All Greek full-time since moving to premises in Bloomsbury in 2003.
Elinor’s team of suppliers specialise in fine replicas of ancient Greek art in bronze, marble and terracotta, hand-painted copies of ancient Greek pottery, and jewellery inspired by ancient Greek coinage and symbols. Nothing is mass-produced, and the shop work exclusively with small, independent businesses like their own with products supplied by fifteen companies in Greece and three in the UK.
The shop’s philosophy is to nurture interest in and enthusiasm for the art and spirit of ancient Greece and judging by the beautiful items on sale, it is clear that despite the current economic situation, the skills and talent of the Greeks continues to flourish.
If you are looking for a little piece of Ancient Greece to keep in your home, look no further than It’s All Greek. Follow the shop for more news on Facebook and Twitter.

It is a great place to visit! Well done Elinor Wynne Lloyd. You have created the most wonderful resource for all that is beautiful from the art of ancient Greece.

This looks like a great shop to visit. I love the spartan helmets and the vases, sculptures, paintings—in fact, I love everything in it. Greek to its core!
