Whether we like it or not, we live in a digital age where gadgets, gizmos and social media are at the forefront of our professional and personal lives. Apps are now seen as the fastest, most productive way of selling a service or product. Despite all the negativity surrounding how much…
I read a lot of books that are either based in Greece/Cyprus or feature Greek characters and I must admit that sometimes I can become disinterested with the Big Fat Greek Wedding type similarities and mechanical descriptions of the Greek landscape. Not so with my latest read EVANTHIA’S GIFT by the…
No this is not a book by the SAS. It is by the SA’s! SA stands for ‘supporting artist‘ or in this case ‘sexy artist‘ as the authors like to be known. I used to be a sexy…er…I mean…supporting artist. Before I moved up to ‘lead artist‘. Then I never…
Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands, has long been one of my favourite films, and no…not just because of Johnny Depp (although obviously he had a LOT to do with it). Aside from the heart wrenching storyline, Danny Elfman’s beautifully haunting soundtrack captivated me even as a child and I still can’t watch…
This year marks 100 years since the First World War and commemorative events have been occurring throughout the world to remember all who were involved. My fellow blogger friend Stephen Liddell has just released his latest book In the Footsteps of Heroes: A photographic tour of the Western Front – a collection…

Last week I took a trip to the Southbank to the National Theatre to see a production of Emil and The Detectives. One of my friends has a daughter starring in the show – a fantastic performance by Demi Papaminas playing Hilde (Left: wearing the satchel)- and I decided to…
To celebrate my upcoming book publication AND my sister’s 25th birthday, this weekend we attended the Trafalgar Square Studio Theatre to see the play Hidden in the Sand; a beautiful and passionate love story set between London and Cyprus.
“All I know is that I know nothing“. Last night I had the pleasure of witnessing the great Greek philosopher Socrates oversee a heated debate between reason and persuasion. Of course I wasn’t actually watching the real Socrates (although Alexander Andreou’s charmingly Topol-like performance was extremely convincing). I was in fact down at…
Last night I managed to nab tickets for the final week of Cirque du Soleil’s performance of Kooza at The Royal Albert Hall. Well I was SO inspired that I am now planning to give up my boring life and join the circus. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O0-HJhjw8Q]
The award-winning musical Blood Brothers by Willy Russell, enjoyed its final showing last Friday at the Phoenix Theatre, after a hugely successful 21-year run. I managed to bag myself a (not-so cheap) ticket after deciding that this was one show I could not miss.
Those summer nights are long gone, but with the musical Grease entertaining audiences at the New Wimbledon Theatre this week, 70’s pop nostalgia is here to stay.
